Workers
Help Improve the Conditions for Crowd Controllers and Event Security Guards in Western Australia
Crowd Controllers have long endured challenging working conditions without appropriate recognition. Late-night shifts, early morning starts, and long hours standing outdoors in varying weather conditions have become routine.
Unfortunately, many Crowd Controllers have also faced disrespect, including physical injuries, verbal abuse, and other forms of mistreatment. At LPS, we are committed to improving the working conditions and compensation for these essential workers.
Achieving this goal requires a commitment from the top of the supply chain. Host Security Contractors must be remunerated in a way that allows them to compensate their workers fairly. Similar to the impact of the Building Codes introduced several years ago, it is essential to enforce conditions at the head of the supply chain, ensuring that fairness and adequate compensation are upheld throughout. At LPS we believe the Security Services Industry requires a similair set of standards.
To drive these necessary changes, representative and lobbying groups need resources, time, and financial support to advocate effectively on behalf of employees.
If you want to elevate standards within the Crowd/Event Control sector, the first step is to join forces with your Union. The United Workers Union (UWU) is dedicated to advocating for your industry.
By supporting the UWU, you are helping those who are fighting for better standards and fair compensation on your behalf.
